THERE WILL BE NO MASS AT ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH IN QUINCY FOR THIS MONTH'S 4TH SUNDAY MASS to support and attend the "Santacruzan & May Flower Festival" celebration at the La Sallette Shrine in Attleboro, MA.

LENTEN HEALING RETREAT & MASS on March 28, 2009

The great liturgical seasons of our Church offer us opportunities to pause, to reflect, and to behold the various aspects of the richness of God's presence in our world and in our lives. During Lent, we are drawn to the grace of Reconciliation.

Join us as we take a brief break from our busy-ness to spend some moments with God and with each other, to reflect on Lenten Virtues that can lead us to Reconciliation.

Date: March 28, 2009, Saturday.

Time: 12:00pm to 6pm (with opportunity for confessions, and Sunday mass) Points for Prayer/Reflection: Fr. Peter Pojol SJ

Venue: Holy Name Parish, 1689 Centre St., West Roxbury, MA 02132

Note: Recollection begins at Finn Hall (the parish hall across West Roxbury Parkway from the main church). Holy Name Parish is very near the Bellevue station on the Needham Line, Commuter Rail, which also stops at Forest Hills of the Orange Line.

Pastoral Council meeting on Sunday, March 1st

There will be a special Pastoral Council meeting on Sunday, March 1st, at the Holy Name Church Hall after the Mass & merienda, 3:00 PM, to plan & discuss the upcoming Filipino Apostolate events:
(1) Lenten Retreat or Recollection scheduled on Saturday, March 28th
(2) Easter Sunday Mass celebration on April 12th.


We are also extending the invitation to the West Roxbury Chapter officers/members to attend the meeting. We need your input for the festivities.
